Kevin Donohoe’s automotive story began in 1966 (at the age of six) when he discovered the thrill of working on cars and equipment with his neighbor Mr. C. He taught Kevin to appreciate how engines work, the value of asking questions and the thrill of discovery. By the time Kevin was ten he was fixing the neighbors’ lawn mower engines, sharpening mower blades and repairing go carts and mini bikes. He realized at a young age he found his passion!

Kevin studied automotive technology in high school and by the time he completed the automotive technology program at De Anza College, Kevin knew that he wanted to open his own shop. At the ripe old age of 21 and with some help from family, teaming with Kevin’s college roommate, they bought Richardson’s Automotive Service in downtown San Jose. He never looked back.

Fascination.
It is the mix of creativity, craftsmanship and technology that Kevin finds so appealing about our industry – it is truly his inspiration and that inspiration continues to this day. He says that there is something so exciting about exploring the latest innovations under the hoods of the next generation of cars.

They are also licensed California Smog Check Test & Repair, Bosch Car Care and Diesel Care specialists and AAA Approved Auto Care providers. Besides Hybrid experts they are qualified to work on all domestic, Japanese and European cars, vans, trucks and SUVs.

Pacific Motor Service has locations in Monterey and Pacific Grove, California.
