RR 139: Jeff Buckley from My Fathers Shop
Jeff and Candace Buckley, a husband and wife team, have been providing services to their customers in Midlothian, TX for over 20 years at their service business called ‘My Fathers Shop’. This episode is all about the ‘Little Shop that Could’. Why, because the entire team at My Fathers Shop is Jeff and Candace.
How they do it!
Jeff shares a few procedures that helps explain how they run a great business with just the two of them. Jeff Buckley believes it is very important to educate the consumer in easy to understand terms. He believes in providing quality repairs using quality parts. Candace supports Jeff with process that make his time in the shop productive; Jeff explains.
Certifications
Jeff is an ASE Certified Master Auto Tech and ASE Certified Service Consultant, a Certified Auto Repair member as well a a Carfax member shop. He is a member of SEMA, an AAPEX attendee, an iATN member and a Shop Talk member.
He is big on aftermarket certifications like being a Wix Filters Master, a Moog Problem Solver, Autolite Challenge Professional Tech and has been through Sears Management training.
He’s Out there!
Jeff is currently a beta-tester for the Mahle TechPro diagnostic tool and Ratchet and Wrench included his review in the July ’16 issue. He was also involved in previous beta-testing for Alldata and Toyota at AAPEX.
Jeff was also involved in the PROview of the new Wagner OEx brake pad and was chosen to be 
included in the National Marketing campaign by Federal-Mogul Motorparts and Wagner Brake. He was involved with Mike Rowe to launch the new brake pad. He’s been in commercials, video’s, and print ads.
How they make it work.
Jeff believes that their success comes from Candace’s servant heart and that she is a good listener. This he feels is what makes their work dynamic succeed.
