Who Is Your …?
While at AAPEX 2024, I had a revelation. It happens a lot. It hit me while doing what I do best, facilitating a Town Hall Academy Episode on the topic of Resume’s.
This thought came to me: Who is your recruiter?
When you realize the heavy lift to find top talent today, the time it takes to recruit top talent, and the loss of production when short-handed, it is a burden, and you could use some help. The costs are very high for your own time and your commitment to your client’s on-time delivered service.
Then I started to think: When at a networking group or a conference, we ask each other, ‘Who is your Accountant?’ or ‘Who does your Marketing?’
What hit me was the gap we have in hiring ‘experts’ or professionals to support all of the services we need to help us run our businesses.
So I started to do down a list of ‘support’ …
- Who is your recruiter?
- Who is your coach or consultant?
- Who does your CRM?
- Who does your Marketing, Website, etc?
- Who is your accountant?
- Who does your Shop Management Software?
- Who does your DVI?
- Who is your lift repair service?
- Who does your ADAS calibrations?
We never ask those questions because we are almost sure many business people have all of these specialists working for them. That is not the case. They are either too smart for their own good and doing a lot themselves, or they don’t want to be ‘told’ what to do. Help is what we all can use.
Business success today requires a very wide knowledge set to get the most from every opportunity or strategy. Embracing help from every angle will make you more successful and profitable.
So, who is your …….?
