Tristan Realubit is the owner of Real Autohaus Automotive in Westmont, IL and he got his start helping his father service cars in a mobile setting.
College and the business.
Tristan earned his AAS in automotive technology from a local college and started his business at 19 years old and never looked back. A forward thinker, Tristan shares his vision with his people that creates a culture for future growth and success.
Challenges.
Typically for so many young inexperienced entrepreneurs, Tristan found himself struggling to run his business. Things were not going right. He tells some great stories of those challenges.
Breakthrough.
As luck would have it he found AMI On-Line and then bought a Mitch Schneider book.
Those two forces put Tristan on the right path. He eventually bought eight of Mitch’s books and studied every one of them. Listen to Tristan tell you the story of when he met Mitch Schneider at a Ratchet and Wrench conference, a legacy industry professional who helped a peer face his challenges and run a better business. He is formulating plans to add his second location. He learned through the school of hard knocks and shares how he confronted the brutal facts of having to climb out of a huge debt and make a success of his business.
